THE UNVEILING OF SEAN POLOTEE
Abiola
Oduola, more popularly known as Sean Polotee is a Nigerian journalist, poet,
publisher and artist of nearly two decades. He has worked in a wide range of
professional capacities, cutting across both the private and public spheres.
Though
he hails from Oyo State, Southwest, Nigeria, he was born and raised in Mushin,
in mainland part Lagos State.
His
passion for entertainment became manifest quite early in his childhood when he
often engaged his mates in various crafts such as music, acting, modelling, fine
arts, and etcetera. In the course of time, these crafts were later to bloom
into today’s Sean Polotee brand.
In
the intervening years of his career, he has served as a media representative to
brands such as, Innovation Media, Lekki, which orchestrated his anchoring of a popular
radio show, Innovation Radio Hour on UNILAG FM.
Due
to his unwavering desire to showcase talents, he carried out these media duties
while also taking up the role of a Manager/Promoter to the likes of dance hall
artiste, Jahman krest, Juju maestro’s crew, Queen Mediva band, Annjay,
Mecfanny, seasoned comedian, Dr. Buntu, CEO of LP, more fondly called Lady
Prevail, and others.
Sean
Polotee has also worked as a publicist to Chief Femi Branch on his Playfest project, as wellas for the South
African based Nigerian Nollywood actor, Tuvi James, and lots of others.
He
is renowned for his sense of humour and motivation, both in words and in writings.

He
is the brain behind the popular slogan, 'MAAGBON', which now commonly used in
the Lagos social circles, and which he says is a movement aimed at creating a positive
drive in the society.
Over
the years, the multiple award winner's ingenuity and resourcefulness have
attracted public recognition within the entertainment sector. This availed him
the honour of being a recipient of some distinguished awards, such as, the
Nigerian Media Nightout Award, Ikeja City Award, African Custodian Award, to
mention but a few.
The
Baale
of Jordan FM, as also fondly called by his admirers, is presently the
host of the award-winning radio show, Deflower Your Mind With Sean Polotee,
a mind-boggling weekly show that runs on Jordan FM 105.5 at 3:30pm on
Wednesdays and 3:00pm on Thursdays.
The
show reaches out to progressive youths and victims of a challenging society,
such as Nigeria.
In
his words, “the show has been reputed to attract the testimonies of many
listeners who have attested to the life-changing encounters they had on the
show.”
His
love for poetry easily stands out in his writings as a columnist. And in a
recent interview, he said he wants the public to look forward to some of the
innovative events he had intended to unveil in 2020 before the Covid-19 pandemic
put it on hold. He however assure that new plans were being put in place and
assured that very soon, adequate notice would be sent out to the public for the
required awareness.
