16TH PRESIDENT: BAKARE TO MAKE STATE OF THE NATION BROADCAST

Pastor Tunde Bakare.
The General Overseer of the Latter Rain Assembly, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria, Pastor Tunde Bakare, is set to make a state of the nation broadcast on October 6, 2019.

The broadcast, which has become a yearly event, would this year focus on issues bothering on the current leadership on Nigeria and his actionable roadmap to the stability, security and success of the nation.

He disclosed this in a series of tweets on his verified twitter handle, @T_Bakare.

He also made clarifications regarding the video that went viral recently in which he said he would be Nigeria’s 16th president after the tenure of President Muhammadu Buhari, Nigeria’s current leader.

His declaration had sparked reactions across the social media with a section of the media linking his presidential ambition to the alleged humiliation of Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo by “the cabal” in the Presidency.

“I heard all kinds of things on the Internet about joining the cabal. Those who pull down others to get up will never get up,” he had said.

While making clarifications, he said it was not in his character to respond to every whim and caprice of libertarians in cyberspace, but that it has become necessary for him to set the record straight on the misconceptions surrounding a video on the 16th presidency that recently became a talking point.

Hear him:  “It is not in my character to respond to every whim and caprice of libertarians in cyberspace, but it has become necessary for me to set the record straight on the misconceptions surrounding a video on the 16th presidency that recently became a talking point.

“This clarification is necessary for three reasons. Firstly, in keeping with my calling as a servant of God, I must ensure that truth soars high above falsehood and that the fellowship of the saints be not ill-spoken of by a keenly observant world.

“Secondly, it is my duty as a citizen who is privileged to have the ears of fellow citizens to ensure that well-meaning Nigerians are not misinformed about our activities.

“Thirdly, I do not want the ideas and solutions to our nation’s pressing problems, which, by the grace of God, I will be proposing next week 6th October, to be drowned in the noise of needless controversies, because an actionable road-map to the stability, security and success of our nation may very well be found therein. It is, therefore, necessary to clear the air ahead of the October 6, 2019 State of the Nation Broadcast.”
