President Muhammadu Buhari has said he was pleased with Nigerians over their increase in the issue related to agriculture in the country.

He stated this in a twin tweets he posted on his official twitter page Wednesday.

“I am very pleased that young Nigerians are taking agriculture seriously. Through it we have the potential to feed our entire population, as well as to create jobs and prosperity for large numbers of Nigerians. I commend all the young entrepreneurs who are heeding the call,” the President tweeted.

He praised some states he believes were leading the way in taking advantage of his administration’s policies on agriculture. He urged other states to emulate those states in making agriculture more attractive to the Nigerian youths in the ongoing revolution to feed the entire country.

“Some States, like Kebbi, Ogun, Lagos, Jigawa, Ebonyi and Kano are also leading the way in taking advantage of the Federal Government’s policies on agriculture, and are already seeing results. I urge other States to emulate them, and plug into the ongoing revolution to feed Nigeria.”
